Free Motion Sampler

Class Length: 4 hours

Description

Free motion embroidery gives you the ultimate freedom with your sewing machine. When you lower your sewing machine's feed dogs you control the direction of stitch. And a whole new creative world of texture and line awaits. You can use free motion for quilting, thread painting, seam embellishments and more.

I will show you how to set up your machine for free motion stitching. Then we will create a sampler of different techniques and stitches including fills, motifs and quilting patterns. I will also discuss the right needle/tension combinations to work with the wide range of wonderful embroidery and novelty threads available today.
